This empty void is bothering me, so I’ll fill it with something of comparable worth.

It’s another day at the office, keeping busy and drinking coffee. The semester doesn’t really start until tomorrow, and the rest of the week is filled with testing, so it’ll probably be like this for the next four days.

I was amazed to see that Eli didn’t choke and saddened by the Longhorn alumni (aka Tennessee Titans)’s loss to San Diego. I take comfort in the fact that Vince isn’t going to be jinxed by the Madden cover next year, and that Eli will get destroyed next round by Dallas.

I spent an hour and a half finishing the sixth Dark Tower book. While I’m already invested in the series and have to finish it, I can’t help but be amazed at the gall of a writer that inserts himself so prominently into his own work. I realize that this is his big work, and that it’s pretty much haunted him for thirty years, but still… that takes some serious balls. I can’t decide if I should move on to the final one or occupy myself with some Lovecraft short stories before taking the plunge into what I hear is the worst book of them all.

My Word Coach for the DS is my guilty educational pleasure. I currently try to play it every day to fulfill the daily requirement for updating the Expression Potential. It’s a mixture of vocabulary building and reinforcement, which appeals to my desire to befuddle the common man. That said, if it gives me speleology again, I’m going to seriously question the practicality of the vocabulary it teaches.

Anyway, David, what’s up with you? I hope to God you’re being more productive than I am.
